Seven boys from Christ School have committed to play college sports in the Ivy League since 2020, a testament to how the school balances athletics with its four pillars – Academic Rigor, Leadership, Spirituality, and the Dignity of Manual Labor.
As of this week, a couple opportunities now exist for rising senior Dawson Thompson ’25 to follow the same path.
Congratulations to Dawson, who announced on his social media that he has received offers to play football for Cornell and Dartmouth!
Dawson is a 6-foot-5, 260-pound lineman from The Bahamas (who made the 2023 All-Western Football Conference team) and belongs to Christ School’s chapter of the National Honor Society with a weighted 4.5 grade-point average. He will be a Proctor in South Carolina House for this upcoming year.
