Ten other boys teams from throughout western North Carolina and Georgia were in the Waynesville Recreation Center pool on Saturday. Christ School out-swam them all, winning the Tuscola Invitational with 365 points.
Individual event-winners for the Greenies in their final meet before Christmas Break were three sophomores: Daniel Du ‘22 (100-yard freestyle, 54.99 seconds), Sam Jarrett ‘22 (500-yard freestyle, 5:29.21), and Frank Howden ‘22 (100-yard breaststroke, 1:04.66). Collectively, Saturday’s win for Christ School is especially impressive as the team placed third in the 2018 Tuscola Invitational and sixth in 2017.
