MARIETTA, Ga. – The Lemon Street Classic had been a sour experience for Christ School varsity basketball until the Greenies turned it around in a big way Saturday.
Mikey Wilkins ’25 powered in 19 points and the team rebounded from its first back-to-back losses since the 2021-22 season with a 94-58 rout of Cherokee (Ga.).
Madden Collins ’25 added 13 points, Cole Boyer ’24 had 12 points (all from 3-pointers) in a hometown game for the senior guard, and three other players reached double figures – Lleyton Thomas-Johnson ’24 (11 points), Mason Collins ’28 (11), and George Mason recruit Bryson Cokley ’24 (10).
Ninety-four points is the most the Greenies (11-3) have scored in any game this season. Christ School increased the offensive tempo to the tune of 55 points in Saturday's second half to break open a consolation bracket game that was 39-36 at the half.
T.J. Hamilton ’24 (six points), USC Upstate recruit Jamari Briggs ’24 (six), Keenan Wilkins ’24 (four), and Bruce White ’24 (two) rounded out the scorers for the Greenies.
