Jenkins Family Celebrates Basketball State Champs

Parties to celebrate Greenie state championships are becoming a common occurrence at Boxwood House and the Jenkins family looks forward to hosting many more in the years to come!

Varsity Basketball players and coaches were the guests of honor Wednesday. Christ School won its seventh state title in basketball, and first since 2011, back on Feb. 25. The Greenies (31-4) defeated Carmel Christian, 53-48, in the NCISAA 4-A championship game.

The team finished the season ranked 31st in the country by MaxPreps. Second-year coach Josh Coley was named the Asheville Citizen-Times All-Western North Carolina Coach of the Year and all five of his starters were selected to the All-WNC Team – Jamari Briggs ’24, Bryson Cokley ’24, Emanuel Richards ’23, Anthony Robinson ’23, and Keenan Wilkins ’24.
