Christ School’s four-guard starting lineup had more than enough size and muscle.
Most of all, Anthony Robinson ’23 and Emanuel Richards ’23 gave the NCISAA 4-A state champions unwavering leadership.
Two of the Greenies’ four seniors have been named to the 2022-23 NCISAA 4-A all-state basketball team. Both players are first-time selections to the all-state team and two-time all-conference players in the Carolinas Athletic Association.
Anthony, a 6-foot-10 center from Peachtree City, Ga., led Christ School (31-4) in rebounds (8.7 per game), blocks (1.7), and double doubles (eight). He averaged 8.7 points. Anthony has signed to play college basketball for South Florida.
Emanuel, a 6-foot-4 wing/guard from Irmo, S.C., was No. 1 among all Greenies in steals (1.6 per game), second in rebounds (5.7) and assists (3.3), and third in scoring (12.1). The Longwood University recruit was the CAA Player of the Year.
Anthony and Emanuel still have one high school game left – they have been invited to play in Saturday’s 10th annual North Carolina Private School All-Star Game at Charlotte Providence Day. The boys game is scheduled for 2 p.m. and tickets are $10.
