Greenies Regional Champions of MANNA Food Drive Competition
Most pounds per student at 3100 total pounds
The Christ School community participated in the MANNA Student Food Drive Competition to not only fight hunger in Western North Carolina, but also to beat Carolina Day for the third year in a row. The results are in: we accomplished our goals and then some!
With 3100 total pounds Christ School finished the competition with the most pounds of canned food donations per student in Western North Carolina at 12 pounds per student.
Not only did we win our third straight competition with Carolina Day, but we are now champions for the entire region!
In the last few days of the drive, our donations bins on campus were overflowing with cans. Our trophy from MANNA for the “Student Food Drive Golden Can” now stays on Christ School's campus, where it will remain until next year’s competition.
The drive as a whole collected more than 25,000 pounds of food to help fight hunger in Western North Carolina.
