Basketball Heads to Final Four this Weekend

Two months ago the Greenies hosted Charlotte Christian and lost by 20 points. This past weekend however, Christ School basketball won when it mattered most, defeating the #1 ranked Charlotte Christian squad, 52-45. "We are really proud of how our team has come together since our initial defeat to the Knights," said Drew Redmond '21. "We are peaking at the right time."

The Greenies now head to Ravenscroft School for the 4A NCISAA Final Four this weekend. On Friday, the Greenies will play #4 Charlotte Latin, who comes in to the game at 16-9 overall. "Charlotte Latin is a great team," said Associate Head Coach Tiger Norman. "They have the ability to score from anywhere on the floor and we will have to play our best basketball to come out with a victory on Friday night."

The game is at 8:00 PM in Raleigh. If the Greenies were to win that contest, they would play for the 4A State Championship at 6:00 PM against the winner of Greensboro Day and Durham Academy. Greensboro Day is the two time defending state champions and knocked the Greenies out in the Semi-Final round last season.

At this time, their is no live-stream set up for the game, but if a link is provided it will be passed along via an email blast or on the Greeniesports twitter.
