Providence Day has always been once of the best teams in the NCISAA and coming into a game with the Greenies on Saturday, they found themselves at 9-3 overall. The Christ School bats were working early however, as they put up two runs in the first and three in the third. Those five runs were more than pitcher Chad Treadway would need as he kept all but one Mustang of the base paths during the game.
Heading in to the final inning, there was a small rumble reverberating through the stands as Treadway hadn't given up a hit through four innings. Having racked up six hits and 11 runs, the Greenies gave Treadway all the support he would need.
In the fifth, the first batter hit a sharp liner that Parker Johnson put away. Treadway blew by the next batter for his seventh strikeout of the game and the final out was a pop out to third baseman Isaiah Lowe to complete the five inning no hitter.
The win gave Christ School their 11th victory on the season in just 13 tries.
The Greenies face Smoky Mountain High School at home on Wednesday.
