For the fourth time in as many tries, the Greenies defeated Rabun Gap in convincing fashion, this time by twenty two points. With a final score of 69-47, Christ School basketball will move on to the State Quarterfinals against number 1 ranked Charlotte Christian (24-1). The Knights of Charlotte Christian have yet to play in the 4A NCISAA State Playoffs earning a double bye after an impressive regular season.
The two teams matched up earlier in the year during the silent night game, with the Knights winning by twenty points. "We are a different team than we were when we first played them," said Drew Redmond '21. "We were dealing with some injuries and we have consistently improved each and every week since then. We are excited for the opportunity to play them." The Greenies are on a roll as of late having won four straight games to get back to one game over .500.
