JV basketball took on a very improved Legacy Charter team on Thursday night in Greenville, SC. After defeating the team early in the season, they came back with vengeance. "We battled back and fourth the entire game but the last two minutes were the most intense the Greenies has seen," said Coach Clay. With the game tied and a minute and a half left, Henry Muller hit a big three. Legacy answered with a three, returning the game to a tie. Zack Myers was fouled and hit the front end of a one and one but was also answered with a foul shot on the other end, again returning the game to a tie. With 14 seconds left, Legacy had possession but Zack Myers changed that with a big steal in which he was immediately fouled. With 2 seconds on the clock and Zack Myers at the line, his mental toughness showed as he drained both and to that, Legacy had no response. Big defensive performances came from Nathaniel "Big Ticket" Carson and Steve Papas. Zack Myers and Jack Knott both finished with over 20 points and a significant number of rebounds!
