JV Lacrosse Wins Showdown with Greensboro Day, 7-6

On Wednesday, the JV lacrosse team went down to Greensboro Day and came away with a 7-6 victory while also improving on the season (now 5-1). It was a tough match from the beginning of the game, but the Greenies opened the game up leading 5-2 at the half. The Bengals battled back, but the Greenies defense held them off during the last minute of the game to secure their victory.

Standouts:
The Christ School attack was strong this game. Robert Freeman logged six points on three goals and three assists, and Nate Kelley had one goal along with three assists as well. Sam Bassett added two goals and an assist. These three guys are really working well together, and they've come a long way in just six games.

Carson Campbell has proven himself as a vital part of the team this season. Though just his first time ever playing lacrosse, Coach Fraser says "he has already worked his way onto the field as the starting D midfielder on Man Down. His athleticism and coachable attitude has really made him an instrumental part of our defense."

The Greenies will play again at Providence Day School at 11:00AM on Saturday.
