Lacrosse Takes it to Dorman High School

Dorman High School in Spartanburg has nearly 2,600 students, but the sheer numbers didn't intimidate Christ School Lacrosse as JV led the evening off with a 6-6 tie. The Spartanburg region doesn't have sudden death overtime, so at the end of the regulation both teams left a bit dissappointed with the tie, but it was a hard fought contest, nonetheless.

Varsity Lacrosse on the other hand, came out with a 14-9 victory led by 5 goals, and 1 assist from Davis Lindsey '20 and impressive days from Beau Hecimovich '20 (17 saves) and Sean Dow '22 (20-25 face offs and 3 assists).

"After 10 days off from practice, the boys were a bit sloppy today. Still, it was a great test heading in to our first state opponent this weekend (Durham Academy) and a top ranked St. Anne's Belfield this Saturday," said Coach Jeff Miles. "Our defense played well today, and I was very impressed with Beau's performance in goal. He was fantastic."

Other stats included:

Sam Bassett '22 - 4 goals, 1 assist

Jack Harrison '19 - 2 goals, 1 assist

Zack Grinde '19 - 2 goals
