Little Greenies Continue Winning Ways, Now 6-0
On Thursday, February 1, Little Greenies Basketball hosted IC Imagine (14-2) for the second time this season. In the first game, Christ School won 33-24 after holding off a fourth quarter comeback. This game was a different story, as the "Little G's" stepped on the gas early and never let off. With a final score of 52-30, the Little Greenies continue their undefeated season with a 6-0 record.
All dressed players contributed to the win, and 11 of 15 players scored. The team's full court zone press was perfectly executed, causing seven turnovers and leading to 10 of our 52 points. Other highlights included a Bevin Zhang '21 reverse lay-up that got all Greenies on their feet, Coker Ford '22 playing tenacious defense, two Robert Drennan '21 triples, and Robert Freeman '22 coming off the bench to be the team's second leading scorer with nine points.
The Little Greenies are back in action next week on Wednesday and Friday against Carolina Day School and Veritas Christian Academy.
