Three Greenies Named All-Western Carolina Performers
The Varsity Soccer team has seen great success in the Western Carolinas over the past few years, and this year was no different. The team finished 14-7-1 and made it the NCISAA playoffs for the third consecutive season. On Wednesday, Christ School players were named All-Western Carolina performers for their stellar seasons on the pitch. John Beard '18 was named to the 1st Team after being named CAA Player of the Year and 3rd Team All-State. He served as the team captain and scored 24 goals and 16 assists for the Greenies. Junior Thomas May '19 and Corey Lavinder '19 were named 2nd Team All-Western Carolina. Thomas was All-CAA and added five points of his own from the defensive position. Corey added five goals and ten assists of his own.
