Varsity Baseball Wins First Playoff Game 10-0
In their first playoff game, with Chad Treadway '19 on the mound, the Greenies felt comfortable they would get the job done.
"Chad has been solid on the mound for us all year," said Coach Geyer. "Whenever he is on the mound, our hitters feel less pressure."
The Christ School bats were ready from the first inning, as a Jackson Hipp '18 double of the wall scored Max LeCroy '19 to make it 1-0 after one.
Treadway continued to deal, with five strikeouts through two innings against the Covenant Day School. In the second, Mac Gortney '19 lead off with a triple, followed by back to back doubles from Blevins, Grande. A LeCroy single scored to make it 5-0 after just two innings.
With Treadway scoreless through four, Hunter Macomber came in and pitched a perfect fifth inning. The Greenies put up four runs in the 5th inning to end the game early, 10-0.
They will move on to play Charlotte Country Day on Saturday. Time TBD.
