Headmaster's Scholarship Program
Established in 1998, The Headmaster's Scholarship Program is designed to attract top students and leaders from around the country. Students are selected based on a demonstrated capacity for leadership, high academic achievement, and exceptional personal character.
The Headmaster’s Scholarship is solely based on merit and covers a portion of the student’s tuition. In addition to the completed admission application, students are required to obtain a separate nomination for the scholarship program. The Scholarship Committee may request an additional interview or other application piece due to the competitive nature of the program.
Students must be nominated and have applications complete by February 1st. Nominations can come from a teacher, administrator, pastor, or coach. Final Scholarship decisions will be made by March 10th. The SSAT is required by all students. Students are encouraged to take the test by January 5th.
Academic achievement, athletics, extracurricular participation, and community service are all examples of ways in which one exemplifies the qualities required for consideration. Ultimately, this program ensures that we will continue to enroll exceptional young men, each of whom will enrich the Christ School community.
This is an exceptional opportunity and we welcome all potential candidates. Please email Palmer Straughn in the Admission Office should you have additional questions or call Palmer at 828-684-6232, ext. 118.
