When in doubt, cook out!
The smell of grilled food wafted from the patio of Stolz Dining Hall on Wednesday as students and faculty partook in a special winter all-school cookout.
A high temperature in the 50s melted much of the snow that had fallen onto Christ School’s campus the previous weekend. Greenies munched on the usual fare – hamburgers and hot dogs with all the trimmings – before returning to class.
Father John Roberts had announced the day before that Eucharist Chapel would be cancelled so the community could enjoy the food and social aspect of Wednesday’s lunch. More photos from the cookout can be viewed at this link.
Christ School has been in session for the Spring Semester since Jan. 10. Safety protocols such as masking and social distancing are in place for indoor settings. There is a goal to hold large gatherings outdoors as often as possible if the weather is cooperative.
With the snow out of the way, athletics, student activities, and off-campus service trips are back on their usual schedule.
