Music is experiencing a nice resurgence at Christ School, from the growth of the choir to the number of boys with an instrument in their hands on any given day.
Another timely development is that alumnus Andrew Block '03 is closely involved in a Grammy-nominated project.
Andrew was a Producer and Engineer for the band Cha Wa's "My People," which is nominated for Best Regional Roots Music Album.
Andrew said that "My People" was recorded at his studio, Neutral Sound Studio, in New Orleans. Cha Wa describes itself as a "New Orleans brass band-meets-Mardi Gras Indian outfit."
The 64th annual Grammys take place January 31 in Los Angeles and will be shown by CBS.
