Christ School has touched a lot of different corners of ACC basketball for nearly 20 years.
Virginia is a first.
All-state center/power forward Anthony Robinson ’23 announced Saturday on his social media that he has committed to play for the Cavaliers, who are just four years removed from their last national championship.
Anthony had originally signed with South Florida, but asked to be released from his National Letter of Intent after a coaching change in Tampa.
The 6-foot-10 senior from Peachtree City, Ga., led Christ School (31-4) in rebounds (8.7 per game), blocks (1.7), and double doubles (eight) this past season. He averaged 8.7 points for the NCISAA 4-A state champions.
Off the court, Anthony is the Prefect in Noland House, sings in the Choir, and is part of the Greenie track team.
Anthony is the ninth Greenie to commit to an ACC basketball program since Christ School’s first state-championship season in 2005. Junior guard Bryson Cokley ’24 has given a verbal commitment to Wake Forest.
