William Sharp
“This student is a conscientious learner, asking deep questions in class and pushing to understand his material at a deeper level. As a friend, he is always looking out for the best interests of others. He’s willing to have the tough conversations with his Greenie brothers who are struggling, because he truly cares. Not only does he spend quality time outdoors enjoying all Christ School offers, he isn’t afraid to leave his phone behind to really engage in the moment. He’s a Greenie who’ll make a difference in the world.
Tim Wu
“This young man is kind to everyone, respected by everyone. His advisor says, “I am often fond of the expression that many of life's most important things – showing up on time, being kind, saying "thank you" and "please" among them – do not actually require talent, but they are oh-so important in life. Well, this student has all of those attributes – and he has considerable talent on top of them, which makes for a great young man.” He has really made the most of his time at Christ School and that is awesome to witness.”
Jacob Beatty
“This senior has been with us for a long time, since 8th grade. He has really come to into his own here. He shows us all what it means to follow your own compass, and how you can draw so much respect when you are one of the brightest minds, but you resist advertising it. Attending a university in the fall that is full of the color blue (Duke University) and the only blue acceptable around here thanks to the Plumlee brothers. Just an incredible human being.”
Asher Hicks
“This student has been phenomenal all year! I am the only staff member on the job site, and I can always count on him to be on time and in charge! He willingly helps with any needed task and is great at getting others on board. Job has run smoothly because of him this year!”
Tazizwa Kasambara and Evan Reich
“For two very different, randomly assigned roommates, these guys are awesome together. They bring positive attitudes but are willing to have meaningful conversations. Their room is the cleanest and most organized in the dorm. They work hard in classes and during study hall, but also on their own unique skills and activities, getting the job done right in all aspects of their Greenie lives.”
Xander Ring
“Xander has spent this year forming new relationships, strengthening bonds already made, and learning how to be an excellent leader. The maturation of Xander this year has been impressive. He has selflessly dedicated his time to help others in the dorm, lived up to the standard he has set, called forward others to do the same. Despite various roles pulling him in other directions, I believe that Xander has fostered a community in Gardner. I am grateful for his leadership this year.”
