Most people associate Aydan White ’20 with football and rightfully so. But there has never been a 110-meter hurdler like him at Christ School either.
HighSchoolOT.com has recognized the school record-holder in the event with a place on its West All-Senior Track & Field Team.
HighSchoolOT.com had this to say about the Greenie: “White, an N.C. State football recruit, was one of the top hurdlers in the state. He won four NCISAA (state) titles in his career, sweeping the 110 hurdles from his freshman-through-junior seasons with a best time of 14.84, and winning the high jump (6-2) in his junior season as well. He was also runner-up in the high jump in his freshman and sophomore years.”
Aydan has recorded the seven-fastest 110 hurdle times in Christ School history and was a big factor in NCISAA team state championships won by the Greenies in 2018 and 2019.
The Asheville resident signed with the Wolfpack in December. Last fall, he led the Greenies (6-4) in receptions (27), receiving yards (536), and receiving touchdowns (eight).
