DAVIDSON, N.C. – Saturday was an early statement game for Christ School varsity basketball.
The Greenies left enough said at the Phenom Hoops Tip-Off Classic, drubbing Carmel Christian, 74-42.
Dacen Petty '26 (15 points), N.C. State recruit Mikey Wilkins '25 (13), and Tyler Jones '26 (11 points, seven assists) were the individual standouts.
Though both rosters have experienced plenty of roster turnover, Saturday was the first game between Christ School (4-0) and Carmel (1-3) since the 2023 NCISAA 4-A state championship game (a 53-48 Christ School win). The Greenies led 42-18 at halftime of the rematch, part of a showcase played at Davidson Day.
Christ School is ranked No. 30 nationally by MaxPreps and the Greenies have outscored their first four opponents by an average of 28 points.
