Bryce Sain ’22 makes countless split-second decisions when a football is tucked under his arm.
Finding the right college required a little more calculation.
Bryce returned from a weekend visit to Greenville, S.C., with a big piece of his future determined, verbally committing to Furman University on Sunday.
The 5-foot-6, 182-pound senior from Whittier, N.C., has rushed for more than 5,000 yards in his high school career and scored two touchdowns (including the deciding TD) in Friday's 34-31 overtime win over visiting Charlotte Christian. Bryce is the Prefect in Harris House this year and was the WMYA/Friday Night Rivals Scholar Athlete for the Sept. 24 regionally-televised game against Charlotte Providence Day.
Bryce is the second Greenie football player to commit to Furman this year, joining lineman Eli Brasher '22. In all, there are seven Christ School seniors who have committed to play college sports.
