Carson Campbell ’21 was charged with taking over as Christ School soccer’s primary scoring threat this fall, and the senior responded with the first all-state season of his career.
The NCISAA 4-A team was announced Tuesday. Carson, a striker from Black Mountain, N.C., is included on the list and was the Greenies’ lone All-Carolinas Athletic Association pick as well.
Carson led this year’s Greenies (2-9-0) in goals (five) and assists (four). He had a hat trick (three goals) in the first round of the state playoffs – a 4-0 win at Charlotte Christian on Oct. 27. That game represented the first postseason win for the Christ School soccer program since 2017.
Prior to the season, Carson was appointed one of the team’s captains by coach Guy Campbell ‘00. He wore the armband from that point forward and was often marked by the opponent’s best defender.
