Christ School cross country’s performance at Saturday morning’s Hare and Hounds Invitational bodes well for the future.
The Greenies (200 points) placed fourth in the team standings, led by a pair of top-10 individual races by seniors Andrew Hammel ’20 (fourth place, 15:45.00) and Joseph Visconti '20 (sixth, 15:57.90). McAlpine is the same course which will be used for October’s NCISAA state meet. Christ School is No. 2 in the latest rankings for NCISAA 4-A teams, compiled by MileSplit North Carolina.
Cuthbertson (136 points) won Saturday's championship race. Christiansburg (Va.) was the third-place team ahead of the Greenies with 178 points.
