Cousins Keenan Wilkins '24 and Mikey Wilkins '25 Headline All-CAA Team

Cousins, and now Co-MVPs.

Their first season as high school teammates could not have gone much better – point guard Keenan Wilkins ’24 and power forward Mikey Wilkins ’25 have been named the Co-Players of the Year in Carolinas Athletic Association basketball.

CAA coaches voted three more Greenies to the all-conference team – Bryson Cokley ’24, Jamari Briggs ’24, and Lleyton Thomas-Johnson ’24.

Christ School (23-5) won all eight of its CAA games for the first time in eight years. The Greenies’ average margin of victory in conference games was 31.5 points.

Christ School is the No. 3 seed for the NCISAA 4-A playoffs and will host the winner of High Point Wesleyan Christian (18-11) and Durham Academy (17-14) on Saturday at 4 p.m. in the state quarterfinals.

Balance is a big reason the Greenies have gotten this far, and it is fully embodied by the play of Keenan (12.9 points, 3.4 assists, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.6 steals per game) and Mikey (13.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.4 steals per game).

Keenan will end up as one of the school’s career leaders in 3-pointers and has made 56 this season.

Bryson (George Mason), Jamari (USC Upstate), and Lleyton (Washington University in St. Louis) have committed to play college basketball and been valuable assets as well for the CAA champions.

Bryson connected on four 3-pointers in last Friday’s 85-69 win over the visiting South Charlotte Thunder.  He averages 8.0 points per game while Jamari puts up 9.6. Lleyton ranks second on the team in rebounds (5.9).
