Christ School won Friday afternoon's Hagan-Stone Cross Country Classic in Greensboro, N.C.

Friday was set up to be a dress rehearsal of sorts for Christ School cross country.

The Greenies aced it.

Kahzi Sealey ’23 (sixth place, 16:16.70) and Eyob Gill ’24 (eighth, 16:35.36) ran personal records, and Rocky Hansen ’23 (first, 14:46.59) and Dawson Reeves '24 (second, 15:37.92) did their usual thing up front to win the Hagan-Stone Cross Country Classic in Greensboro, N.C.

The Greenies (28 points) were 48 points better than runner-up Cary Academy (76) with 21 teams in the overall field.

Hagan-Stone is the site for this year’s NCISAA state meet (on Oct. 28) and Friday was the first time that many of the Greenies had run the course.

Will Peeler ’23 (14th, 17:11.96) and Luke Parrish ’24 (15th, 17:22.94) placed in the top-15 as well, followed by Patrick Wang ’24 (30th, 18:07.13), and Nate Wilberding ‘25 (44th, 18:34.44). The times for Will and Nate are also personal records, according to Milesplit.
