HICKORY – Saturday was personal for Caden Paradine ’25.
The senior has grown up in Lenoir-Rhyne University’s stadium. His father, Greg P’25, is a national-championship coach at the college – and Caden shot with that kind of confidence.
His five goals were a big component of Christ School’s 14-12 comeback win over previously-unbeaten Middle Creek.
The Greenies (3-1) closed the game with seven unanswered goals after spotting the Mustangs (2-1) a 12-7 lead at the 2:42 mark of the third quarter.
Palo Miles ‘27 (three goals), Parker Abernethy ‘28 (two), and Liam Burnett ‘28 (two) were other multi-goal scorers. Corey Walker ‘28 gave Christ School its first lead with 6:54 to go and Wes McAven ’27 scored quickly off one of the many faceoffs he won.
