Felix Huebner '26 Named to Asheville City SC Roster

ASHEVILLE – Word gets around when you are the top goalkeeper in your hometown.

The Asheville City Soccer Club has announced its 2025 camp roster with Felix Huebner ’26 getting a chance to suit up for Tuesday night’s U.S. Open Cup match – at home against the Greenville (S.C.) Triumph at 7:30 p.m.

Felix was one of 22 players selected by Asheville City. Making the main roster (which is always very light on high school players) for the official start of the season in May would be a promotion for him from the Blues’ youth academy team.

Felix is a junior from Asheville who earned NCISAA 4-A all-state and Carolinas Athletic Association all-conference recognition last fall. He had seven shutouts for the CAA champion Greenies (10-3) in a season shortened by Hurricane Helene. Felix was never better than a Sept. 12 game against four-time state champion Rabun Gap. His clean sheet that afternoon allowed Christ School to beat the visiting Eagles for the first time in seven years, 1-0.

Asheville City plays in USL League Two, the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid. The team’s home matches take place at UNC Asheville. Members of the Blues have assisted Guy Campbell ’00 with his youth soccer camps and will do so again this summer. Coach Campbell has in turn been an assistant coach for Asheville City.
