Team captain Finley Sullivan ’25 talked about the ups and downs of college recruiting in his Senior Speech last month.
Wednesday was the apex - Finley signed to play football for VMI on National Signing Day.
He is a 6-foot-4, 241-pound defensive end/tight end from Hendersonville, N.C.
Finley missed three games this fall due to injury, returning in time for a stretch run in which the Greenies (4-5) won three out of their last four games and reached the semifinals of the NCISAA state football playoffs for the 12th time in the past 13 years.
Finley and the rest of the seniors went out on top November 22. Christ School’s 26-25 overtime win over visiting Asheville School was the Greenies’13th consecutive victory in “The Game.” The other three team captains were Jackson Cancel '26, Memphis recruit Sam Browder '25, and Cooper Perone '25.
Off the field, Finley’s Senior Leadership position is Job Prefect.
