'The Game' Rescheduled for November

A late-November surprise!

Christ School and Asheville School have agreed to a makeup date for “The Game,” falling on the weekend that Thanksgiving Break begins.

The Greenies and Blues will play football for the 98th time the night of November 22 (a Friday) with a 7 p.m. kickoff from Fayssoux Field in Arden.

The NCISAA playoffs conclude the week before and the teams were granted an exemption by the state association to play after the postseason. The Game was originally scheduled for Sept. 28. However, both campuses had to evacuate due to Helene.

Asheville School leads the all-time series, 50-43-4, but Christ School has won 20 of the 24 meetings in the 2000s. The Greenies' current winning streak of 12 consecutive years is the longest for either side since the rivalry started in 1911.
