Gardner Brothers Earn Eagle Scout Rank on Same Day

Luke Gardner '22 and Sanford Gardner '22

Twin brothers Luke Gardner '22 and Sanford Gardner '22 passed their Board of Review on Thursday to become Christ School’s newest Eagle Scouts.

The Greenies were unanimously endorsed for the highest rank attainable in the Scouts BSA program of the Boy Scouts of America. Scoutmaster Randall Barnett of Asheville’s Troop 8 wrote to Christ School, thanking faculty members Mary Dillon and Dr. Brent Harris for their letters of recommendation.

“Every life is marked by milestones and events that tell us a goal has been achieved or a dream has become a reality,” Barnett wrote. “With the presentation of the Eagle Scout Rank (to Luke and Sanford), they have reached one of these important milestones.”

Luke and Sanford will receive their Eagle Scout medals at future Court of Honor ceremonies.

The Gardner family is from Asheville. Parents John P’20, P’22 and Liz P’20, P’22 have three sons who are Greenies – Miles ‘20 is a senior.
