Christ School outperformed expectations Monday at the NCISAA 4-A state golf tournament, placing fourth out of 12 teams at the Greensboro Country Club.
The Greenies (303) finished 12 shots back of champion Cannon School (291), led by the individual play of Charles Howden '22 and Jamal Hutchison '23, who each shot a round of even par 72, Andrew Graham '21 (77), and Connor Jones '21 (82).
Daniel Neuman ’21 (90) and Grant Haldeman ’21 (91) rounded out Christ School’s team.
Monday’s one round of stroke play was held on the GCC’s Farm Course. Since inclement weather cancelled last week’s state qualifier, every team was eligible for Monday’s tournament.
