CANTON - Sweet 16!
Christ School golf added to the longest active conference championship streak by any Greenie sports team Thursday, winning the Carolinas Athletic Association Tournament at Springdale Golf Resort.
It is the 16th straight conference title for Christ School, dating back to 2008. There was no CAA Tournament played in 2020 due to the season being cancelled by COVID-19.
The Greenies (316) were five shots better than runner-up Asheville Christian Academy (321) at Springdale and placed four golfers on the All-CAA team – Elijah Abundis ’24 (78), Levi Ellison ‘27 (79), David Gaines ‘26 (79), and Hayden Fox ‘27 (80).
Christ School is coached by Graylyn Loomis ‘10, who was a player for an early part of the conference championship streak.
