Regardless of who was pushing the ball up the floor, Christ School’s chances for a successful possession went up greatly if Drew Redmond ’21 or Donavon Fitzgerald ’22 were involved.
The backcourt tandem has been named to the All-Carolinas Athletic Association basketball team.
Donavon, a junior from Charlotte, led the Greenies (3-13) in scoring (14.6 points per game), and rebounds (5.4 rpg.). Drew, a senior from Asheville, posted team-highs in assists (4.2 apg.) and steals (3.0 spg.). In two years as a starter, his totals were 419 points, 190 assists, 104 rebounds, and 101 steals.
Christ School’s season ended with a 95-68 loss at Rabun Gap (Ga.) in the first round of the NCISAA 4-A state playoffs on Feb. 16.
