Returning experience in all the right places plus reputation on a statewide level has earned Christ School lacrosse a No. 2 preseason ranking among all North Carolina programs from HighSchoolOT.
Public school Lake Norman is No. 1, while the next-highest NCISAA team besides the Greenies is Charlotte Providence Day at No. 7.
Christ School opens its season Friday with a 2 p.m. game against Apex on the campus of Queens University of Charlotte. Tickets are $8 and available for purchase at this link.
Expectations are high for this year’s group, but they always are.
Seniors Elijah Graziosi ’25 (Montreat College), Caden Paradine ’25 (University of Denver), Xander Ring ’25 (Brown University), Hunter Sanford ’25 (Rutgers University), Carter Sherwood (Loyola University Maryland), and Noah Wood ’25 (Bates College) have all signed to play at the college level. Carter (faceoff specialist) and Xander (defender) are returning NCISAA all-state selections. They also made last year’s All-Carolinas Athletic Association team as did Caden (midfielder), and Hunter (defender, long-stick midfielder).
Caden (30) and Nate Wilberding ’25 (41) combined for 71 goals last season. The team went 12-7, reaching the NCISAA Division I semifinals.
