Greenies Clamp Down in Second Half to Win at Providence Day

CHARLOTTE - Everything is coming up green tonight in Charlotte.

Christ School varsity lacrosse had not beaten Providence Day in four years, and the outcome was very much uncertain with a 2-2 halftime score Thursday.

Caden Paradine ‘25 (two goals, two assists) gave the Greenies the lead for good with his second goal in the third quarter and they would go on to win, 6-2. Goals were also scored by Parker Abernethy ’28, Thomas Flores ‘27, Palo Miles ‘27, and Nate Wilberding ’25 (who had one assist).

Sophomore goalkeeper Jameson Dow ‘27 did not face much pressure in the second half but he handled it well. Wes McAven ‘27 won 7-of-11 faceoffs.

Christ School improves to 9-4 with a win that could be huge down the road for state playoff seeding in the NCISAA Division I brackets.
