Christ School’s best postseason run in six years has been rewarded with five players on the N.C. Soccer Coaches Association all-region team.
Brendan Regan ’24, James Mennell ’24, and Truett Compton ’25 were chosen for their defense, while Carter Compton ’24 made the team as a forward.
The fifth pick was sophomore goalkeeper Felix Huebner ’26, who gave the Greenies (10-11-1) a big lift after missing the first 13 games due to injury.
Christ School took down Metrolina Christian Academy and Charlotte Providence Day in the NCISAA 4-A state playoffs before bowing out in the quarterfinals – a 0-0 game with Durham Academy was settled, 3-2, by penalty kicks.
Half of the eight games that Felix started were shutouts.
