For the second year in a row, Christ School track & field has been deemed North Carolina’s top overall boys team by HighSchoolOT.
The final state rankings were published on the website Thursday.
How do you rank every team in the state when some never compete head-to-head, let alone an all-encompassing “super meet” would be a logistical nightmare?
Computers, of course.
The final results from all of last month’s state championship meets (NCISAA and NCHSAA) were combined by HighSchoolOT to arrive at its final rankings.
Christ School (41 points) just barely edged the team, Charlotte Providence Day (39), that beat the Greenies in the NCISAA Division I state meet, which was spread out over two days (May 19 and 20) in Concord, N.C.
