Five boys from Christ School have been recognized as part of the annual Western North Carolina Regional Scholastic Art Awards.
Will Peeler ’23 was a multiple winner, receiving a Gold Medal and American Visions nomination for a short video highlighting the 2022 varsity football team. The senior from Draper, Utah, earned a Silver Medal and honorable mention for his photography.
Kevin Xue ’26 was an honorable mention selection in painting, while Brighton Shook ’23, Aiden Schook ’23, and Chase Gribble ’23 were given honorable mention status for their photography.

The WNC Regional Scholastic Art Awards is a juried competition open to all area students in grades 7-12. It includes an awards ceremony and exhibition in the downtown Asheville Art Museum which runs from Jan. 25 to March 3 this year.
