Hall of Fame Inductions, Lacrosse Celebration Part of Alumni Weekend
Mason Plumlee '09 just completed his ninth season of professional basketball with the Charlotte Hornets.
We’re less than three weeks away from Alumni Weekend (May 6-8) at Christ School! All alumni are invited to return to campus for a fun weekend, and we will celebrate reunions for classes ending in 2 and 7.
The agenda for Alumni Weekend is filled with several exciting celebrations, including two important recognitions related to athletics:
We will induct two members into Christ School’s Athletic Hall of Fame. Mason Plumlee ’09 was a McDonald’s All-American his senior season and helped lead Greenie Basketball to three state championships between 2007 and 2009. He went on to win a national championship at Duke, and just completed his ninth NBA season as a member of the Charlotte Hornets. Ali Knowles ’09 was a two-time all-state player for Greenies Baseball. He batted .618 his senior season and went on to play four years at Troy University. Ali is currently a sheriff's deputy and the CEO of Caribbean Bangers, a baseball apparel and equipment company that specializes in making custom bats. Mason and Ali will be recognized along with other alumni award winners at 11:30 AM on Saturday, May 7.
Ali Knowles '09 spoke to the Christ School baseball team during a 2021 Spring Break tournament in Georgia.
This year also marks the 20th year of Greenie Lacrosse. We will gather in the Close-Krieger Athletic Center on Saturday, May 7, at 2:00 PM, to celebrate 20 years and honor Joey Cinque ’17. The celebration will be followed by the Alumni Lacrosse Game at 2:30 PM.
