Judson Meyers ’25 led the graduation procession onto Yard A in May and hasn’t touched much dry land since then.
The South Carolina House Prefect will miss the start of school for an admirable reason after his summer on the water. Judson has been chosen to represent the United States in the World Rowing Under 19 Championships scheduled for Aug. 18-25 in Ontario, Canada.
USRowing announced the men’s and women’s rosters Friday, basing selections off three weeks of intensive training and testing at an invitation-only team camp in Chula Vista, Calif.
Judson is one of five alternates that was chosen for the U.S. team. He is the only rower, male or female, to be selected from the Carolinas.
Judson’s hometown is Asheville and his love for the sport has been nurtured through the years by the Asheville Youth Rowing Association. Here at Christ School, he is not only a Senior Leader but made the Head of School's High Honor Roll both semesters as a junior with a 4.61 grade-point average.
Congratulations, Judson!
