Kaedin Robinson '19 has committed to play college football for the University of Central Florida.

Kaedin Robinson ’19 had laser-like focus when it came to eventually playing NCAA Division I football. The Christ School alumnus succeeded where many have failed by going to junior college first.

Robinson announced his verbal commitment to the University of Central Florida on Thursday.

“Once they reached out and offered, we’ve just been building that relationship,” Robinson told UCFSports.com.

“I just love the opportunity at UCF. They are losing three senior receivers and want an older guy to come in. Somebody who can come right in and adapt while helping the younger guys. I feel like I can come in and be that guy. Be the next guy there. UCF is the place I really wanted to be. I’m really excited about it.”

It has been nearly two years since Robinson suited up for the Greenies, but his senior season is hard to forget. Robinson made 94 catches for 1,686 yards and 23 touchdowns. He signed out of high school with New York’s ASA Brooklyn and it proved to be a good fit on the field and in the classroom.

Robinson earned National Junior College Athletic Association All-American honorable mention status after making 37 receptions for 879 yards and nine touchdowns, all while maintaining a 3.8 grade-point average.

Robinson chose UCF on Thursday over more than a dozen competing scholarship offers. Appalachian State, Charlotte, Coastal Carolina, Hawaii, Virginia Tech, and Washington State were among the suitors.

Though they were never teammates, Robinson will have another Greenie with him in Orlando – tight end Charlie Browder ’21 committed to UCF in June.
