Underclassmen often sit and wait their turn.
Lex Long ‘21 is way ahead of schedule.
Lex saw playing time as a true freshman at the University of Virginia and is stepping up even more this football season. The sophomore safety from Woodbridge, Va., ranks second on the team in tackles (22) and led the Cavaliers (2-1) with nine stops in Saturday’s 16-14 home win over Old Dominion.
Virginia travels to Syracuse for its first ACC game this week.
Lex is fondly remembered for not only football at Christ School, but his role as a Prefect in Noland House, involvement in The Alliance student group, and role in the 2020 Christ School Winter Film production, “Humans of Christ School,” a selection of 20 documentary short films. He gave the first Senior Speech of the 2020-21 school year.
