CHESNEE, S.C. - Luka Rose ’25 was dialed in Wednesday, everywhere and every way.
A baseball player cannot do much better than being the winning pitcher and leading hitter on the same night.
Luka started a 9-1 nonconference game at Chesnee (S.C.), striking out eight and allowing just one run, one hit, and two walks in five innings. At the plate, the junior from Mills River, N.C., went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a walk.
Asbury University recruit Jake Gravley ’24 and Ethan Rose ’24 homered for Christ School (8-4), which led wire-to-wire and 4-0 after two innings. Ethan and Jakob Iwanek ‘24 also had two hits apiece and Christ School had 10 total as a team.
Davis Jones ’25 and Brevard College recruit Jacob Wilde ’24 pitched two scoreless innings of relief. The Greenies were error-free in the field.
Christ School is back home Friday for a 6 p.m. game with Carolina Day.

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Patrick Robichaud ‘27 unknowingly mimicked Luka in Wednesday’s JV game.
Patrick had nine strikeouts in a scoreless four-inning start and an RBI for the victorious Greenies (3-1). Garin Gosnell ‘27 was 2-3 with an RBI and a walk and Henry Tutera ‘28 had an RBI.
