Mason Collins '28 Receives Invite to USA Basketball Camp in Colorado

Mason Collins ‘28 gained the trust of the Christ School coaching staff last season, enough to start games as an eighth grader.

USA Basketball has been watching.

Mason is one of 83 high school players who have been invited to the Men’s Junior National Team October Minicamp next month in Colorado Springs, Colo.

“The USA Basketball Men’s Junior National Team minicamps are an important part of many elite players’ journeys and we are looking forward to hosting this elite group of players,” said USA Basketball Men’s National Team director and committee chair Sean Ford.

“It is exciting to see the commitment to the program from all these athletes, new and experienced, as these opportunities are great for growth on and off the court.”

Players for the minicamp were chosen by the USA Basketball Men’s Developmental National Team Committee from the classes of 2025, 2026, 2027, and 2028. The minicamp will last from Oct. 11-13 and include on-court drills and scrimmages as well as educational programs focusing on eligibility and life-skills development.

Mason is a combo guard from Columbia, S.C., who averaged 4.4 points, 1.1 assists, and 0.9 rebounds for the two-time state champion Greenies (26-5) last season. He plays AAU ball for Team United.
