Plumlee Camp a Big Hit in First Year

Mason Plumlee ’09 could be anywhere in the world as he prepares for his 11th season in the NBA.

He came home.

Christ School is grateful to Mason and his family for their faithful support over the years and for bringing the first-ever Plumlee Basketball Camp to campus Monday through Wednesday.

Proceeds from the camp will benefit scholarship programs for future Greenies.

Mebane Field House has been a beehive of activity the past three days, with wide-eyed campers getting authentic interaction with Mason and an all-star staff of counselors. The championship banners and trophies remind us of his greatness, but it was truly surreal to have a Greenie legend share his love for the game and for Christ School with the campers.

Likewise, the affinity that exists for Mason and his family – 14 years after his graduation from Christ School – is evident by the number of people who stopped by the Greenie Dome just to say hello this week. Mason was joined by his parents, Perky P'08, P'09, P'11 and Leslie P'08, P'09, P'11.

Let’s do it again next year!
