Christ School freshman Dawson Reeves ’24 holds the distinction of being one of only two western North Carolina runners named to the HighSchoolOT all-state cross country teams.
Dawson is a third-team selection, it was announced Saturday.
Last fall, the ninth grader won the Carolinas Athletic Association championship on his home course with a time of 16 minutes, 34.06 seconds. Dawson went on to place fifth at the NCISAA 4-A meet (16:19.10) which was good enough for NCISAA all-state recognition.
Dawson placed second in a CAA regular season meet at Asheville Christian Academy (16:47.61) and came in fourth in the Charlotte Running Company Cross Country Series Race #5 (16:30).
