CHARLOTTE – Christ School swimmers dove into the deep end in terms of competition with Thursday’s start to the 2023-24 season.
The results were encouraging, Coach Dr. Brent Harris reports.
There was a total of 11 individual state-qualifying times from seven Greenies and 21 personal bests set during a meet versus Charlotte Christian, Charlotte Latin, and Charlotte Providence Day at the SwimMAC pool.
“These guys are already committed to improvement and set some high bars in the first meet of the season,” Coach Harris said. “So proud of them!”
State qualifiers so far for Christ School are:
- Bradley Campbell ’24 (100 breaststroke).
- Tyler Thompson ’24 (50 freestyle and 100 freestyle).
- Leo Lagutin ’24 (50 freestyle).
- John Barton ’25 (200 freestyle, 100 butterfly, and 50 freestyle).
- Spencer Thompson ’26 (100 butterfly).
- Alex Jarrett ’26 (100 breaststroke).
- Davis Mohorn ’24 (100 breaststroke and 200 individual medley).
