EUGENE, Ore. - From a Greenie legend to a college All-American in the span of a year.
The Wake Forest University coaching staff is rightfully excited about the present and future with Christ School alumnus Rocky Hansen ’23 on their roster now. Rocky placed 16th in the 5,000-meter run (14:04.44) Friday night at the NCAA Outdoor Track Championship meet.
His final race of the spring season, seen live on ESPN's branch of networks from the University of Oregon, is good enough to earn the Greenie second-team All-America status as a true freshman.
Rocky is from Hendersonville, N.C., and was a 10-time state champion in his high school cross country and track career.
